Polish cities Wrocław and Szańcz gather over 30 L of blood in voluntary drives
On 9 June 2026 the Wrocław police precinct organized a blood‑donation event that attracted 38 volunteers, of whom 30 donated a total of 13 500 mL. The collected blood will be sent to medical facilities for use in surgeries, trauma care and chronic‑illness treatment.
Two days earlier, on 7 June 2026, the town of Szańcz held a mobile‑bus blood‑donation drive. Thirty‑five of the 41 registered donors gave nearly 16 L of blood. Organisers highlighted the community’s strong commitment and noted that the collected units will support hospitals across the region.
Both events underscore ongoing public engagement in Poland’s voluntary blood‑donation program and aim to alleviate the constant demand for blood in hospitals.
