Polish citizen arrested in Croatia for photographing nude children on Prapratno beach
A 61‑year‑old Polish man was detained by the Dubrovnik‑Neretva Police after citizens reported that he photographed naked children playing on Prapratno beach on 23 July. Police secured his camping tent and vehicle, confiscating a mobile phone and three USB drives for forensic analysis, and placed him in investigative detention.
The suspect previously served a prison sentence in 2007 for the same offence committed on the island of Rab. Authorities praised the swift response of the public, noting that citizen reports were crucial in apprehending the perpetrator and preventing further abuse.
An appeal was issued urging parents to keep children supervised and clothed on beaches and to alert police immediately if suspicious filming is observed.
