Kutno opens new municipal nursery with 58 places

A new branch of the municipal nursery "Wesoła Łąka" was inaugurated on 30 June at Królowej Jadwigi 9 in Kutno. The modern facility provides 58 childcare places for children from 20 weeks to three years of age, raising the city’s total nursery capacity from 100 to 158 spots.

The investment, costing about 6.5 million zł, was financed partly through the national "Maluch+" programme (approximately 4 million zł) and additional sources from the Regional Reconstruction Plan and the municipal budget. Local officials including Mayor Mariusz Sikora, Deputy Mayor Zbigniew Wdowiak, and Łódź Voivodeship Deputy Governor Grzegorz Majewski attended the opening. Director Małgorzata Łaszewska thanked everyone involved, saying, "Witam przede wszystkim te małe złotka, które będą sercem tej placówki." The new nursery is positioned next to a municipal preschool and primary school, creating a cohesive educational‑care complex for families in the area.
