Polish clubs Skra Wojnowice and Wisła Kraków announce new coach and face transfer snag

Skra Wojnowice confirmed the appointment of Oliwier Jakubiak as head coach of its A‑class senior team. Jakubiak, 24, brings experience from youth and senior squads in Poland and Germany, including a stint with Borussia Mönchengladbach’s youth system and recent work at Piasta Nadolice. The club highlighted his modern training methods and emphasis on communication and discipline.

Wisła Kraków, newly promoted to the Ekstraklasa, was close to signing 19‑year‑old Guinean winger Oumar Conte. The deal stalled after Conte’s representatives requested a clause guaranteeing training sessions with the first‑team squad. Wisła agreed to include the player in reserve matches but declined to add the clause, leaving the transfer uncertain pending further negotiations.
