Ministry of National Defence to establish military unit in Biłgoraj

The Polish Ministry of National Defence has decided to establish a new military unit in the Biłgoraj county. The announcement was made by Minister of National Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz during a briefing at the Lublin Airport in Świdnik.

In addition to the military announcement, the Biłgoraj region has seen various local developments, including emergency service exercises involving firefighters, police, medical rescuers, and Territorial Defense Forces soldiers near the Bojary reservoir and local hospitals. Residents also recently voted on the allocation of 300,000 PLN from the civic budget for 2027, with the highest support going to a project for a pedestrian path around the Bojary reservoir.
