Polish communities hold 'Narodowe Czytanie' events

Local communities in Poland have participated in the 'Narodowe Czytanie' (National Reading) initiative, focusing on Adam Mickiewicz’s classic drama 'Dziady'.

In Kowala-Stępocina, the 15th edition of the event was held at the Izba Pamięci Księdza Romana Kotlarza. The program included readings of selected fragments by guests and students, a performance of 'Wielka Improwizacja' by the local Wójt, and a tribute to Father Roman Kotlarz. The event aimed to integrate residents and preserve historical memory through Polish literature.

In Mysłowice, a meeting was held at the Municipal Public Library Branch 11 for participants from the local Community Self-Help Home. The session included an introduction to the Slavic traditions and symbolism behind the work, a film projection from the 'Kalendarz Słowiańskich Baśni' series, and a collective reading of the text followed by a social gathering.
