Polish companies consider rebranding to improve market recognition

Bank Pekao is considering a change to its name and visual identity due to brand recognition issues. The bank's president confirmed that research shows many customers confuse the institution with another major Polish bank. While various scenarios are being analyzed, including the potential use of a previously known name, any rebranding is not expected to occur within the next year.

Separately, Grupa PSB, the operator of PSB Mrówka and PSB Profi stores, has unveiled a new logo and brand architecture. This rebranding effort, which is part of a 2026–2028 strategy, is expected to cost approximately 3.5 million PLN and take three years to complete. The group aims to expand to 1,000 locations and capture a 20 percent share of the Polish market by emphasizing its local identity and modernizing its image.
