Polish Corn Days showcases advanced maize varieties and soil technology
During the Corn Days event in Poland, agricultural experts and farmers gathered to review approximately 70 corn varieties from 17 different companies. The event featured technical discussions on weed and pest management, as well as the use of biostimulants.
Monika Ledzion of Syngenta presented data regarding soil variability, utilizing Interra Scan technology to analyze 27 different soil parameters. This included mapping nutrient availability and water accessibility to demonstrate how different varieties perform across varying field conditions.
Hungarian breeders attending the event noted the high quality of the Polish corn, contrasting it with the significant decline in Hungarian corn harvests, which are expected to drop to approximately 2 million tons from previous yields of 8–9 million tons.
