Poland conducts counter-terrorism drills and public safety training

Poland is conducting a series of large-scale safety and security exercises across several regions. In Olsztyn, police counter-terrorism units performed advanced tactical drills involving S-70i Black Hawk helicopters and specialized boats. These exercises included fast-roping techniques and water jumps, involving cooperation between police, the Border Guard, and fire services.

Simultaneously, the Ministry of the Interior and Administration (MSWiA) is launching the ‘Universal Population Protection Workshops Junior’ (PWOL Junior). This free educational program, organized with scouting and fire service organizations, teaches children and youth how to recognize threats, provide first aid, and prepare emergency kits. The program runs through mid-December.

Additionally, fire departments in the Warmian-Masurian and Podlaskie voivodeships are hosting ‘Response Training’ sessions. These public events, scheduled for late September, aim to teach residents how to react to air attack alarms, interpret RCB alerts, and identify safe shelters.
