Polish counties Jaśle and Ostrowiec appoint new officials

In Jaśle County, a secret vote of 11‑10 removed Grzegorz Pers from the chairmanship of the County Council. Within days Pers was appointed a member of the County Board, filling the seat vacated by Zbigniew Staniszewski, who in turn was elected the new council chair with 19 votes in favour and one against.

In Ostrowiec County, the council unanimously appointed Grażyna Derlatka as the new county treasurer after the sudden death of former treasurer Julita Szewczyk. Derlatka, a finance specialist who has served in the county office since 2009, said she would work "as best as possible" to manage the budget.

Both appointments were presented as moves to ensure continuity and effective fiscal management in the respective counties.
