Polish counties roll out new internship and medical student scholarship schemes
The County Labor Office in Kozienice (Powiatowy Urząd Pracy) opened applications on 1 July 2026 for internships, training courses and one‑off start‑up grants for unemployed residents under the EU Social Fund PLUS project “Vocational activation of the unemployed in Kozienice County (III)”. Stipends are set at 2 854.30 PLN per month for internships and 2 140.70 PLN for training.
Meanwhile, the County Hospital in Rawicz launched a scholarship programme for medical, nursing and midwifery students. The scheme provides financial support throughout the remaining years of study and guarantees a job at the hospital after graduation, with recipients required to work a period equal to the length of the stipend received. Individual award amounts are decided case‑by‑case and are indexed annually.
Both initiatives target young people and long‑term unemployed, aiming to improve employability and retain talent in the local labour market.
