Polish county completes first stage of Aleja Palmowa bike trail

Powiat Ostrołęcki has finished the first phase of the Aleja Palmowa project, a new section of the "Jezioro Krusko" tourist bike route in Łyse. The work included renewing the road’s surface markings, constructing a granite foot‑bike path, and building a start‑point pavilion with benches, bike racks and public toilets.

The trail is intended to showcase Kurpie cultural heritage, especially the traditional Palm competition, and to boost recreation for residents and visitors. The entire investment totals about 2.95 million PLN, with more than 2.2 million PLN funded by the European Union’s Mazovia 2021‑2027 programme.
