Polish couples favor cash gifts for weddings, study shows
A survey of 1,023 Polish adults conducted on June 21‑22 2024 found that 74.1% consider cash in an envelope the best wedding present. Among respondents, 35.68% would give only cash, while 34.51% would add a small token, and 8.70% would choose a gift card. Other options such as household appliances, experience vouchers, electronics or jewelry each attracted fewer than 7% of votes.
The same research highlighted a growing preference for more elegant presentations of cash, with money‑box gift sets that can be personalized with the couple’s names, wedding date and a short message. These boxes—available in wood, acrylic or custom‑printed designs—are promoted as keepsakes that turn cash gifts into lasting mementos, appealing especially to couples seeking a stylish alternative to a plain envelope.
