Polish cultural elements featured in new animation and Ted Lasso finale

The second season of the animated series ‘Rycerze z Doliny Rozdupy’, created by Polish animator Bartosz Walaszka, is set to premiere on CANAL+ on October 16. The production features satirical takes on medieval life, following three knights—Częstokloc, Podnapletnik, and Izydor—as they navigate absurd missions involving dragons, knights, and modern-day technological influences within a medieval setting.

In international entertainment news, the popular American-British comedy series ‘Ted Lasso’ has included Polish references in its fourth season finale. The character Nathan ‘Nate’ Shelley, played by Nick Mohammed, makes a cameo where he jokes about the number of people needed to coach the Polish national football team. Additionally, the character Jade, played by Polish actress Edyta Budnik, is noted for her Polish roots originating from Nowy Sącz.
