Polish cultural institutions host heritage and history exhibitions

Several cultural and historical events have been organized in Poland to preserve local heritage and traditions. In Ożarów Mazowiecki, the Irena Zarzycka Public Library hosted a meeting titled ‘History Goes in Circles. Family Treasures – How to Save History’. Led by Marcin Soduł from the Ożarów Historical Portal Association, the session provided guidance on collecting and preserving family items such as old photographs, letters, and documents to build local identity. The event was supported by the Museum of Polish History in Warsaw.

In Sierakowo, the Opaliński Castle Museum launched a new temporary exhibition titled ‘Darz Bór. Hunting Weapons and Accessories from the 18th to 20th Centuries’. The exhibition, which will run until the end of 2026, features a wide array of historical items, including antique firearms, decorated cordelasses, and rare hybrid weapons that combine blades with flintlock mechanisms. The collection also includes brass and leather powder horns, historical legal documents, and hunting-themed art, made possible through collaboration with various regional museums and collectors.
