Deportivo de La Coruña signs Polish defender Bright Ede
Deportivo de La Coruña announced the completion of the transfer of 19‑year‑old Polish centre‑back Bright Ede. The youth international moves to the Galician club on a contract running to 2031, with the transfer fee reported around €6 million. Ede arrives after making 17 appearances in Poland’s top division with Zagłębie Lubin, scoring once and attracting interest for his physical strength, speed and ability to play both in defence and as a defensive midfielder. The club’s sporting director said Ede “stands out for his physical strength, speed and defensive skill, which allow him to operate both in open play and in a more position‑focused defensive role.” The signing is part of Deportivo’s project to build a competitive squad after promotion back to LaLiga, and it provides a cash boost to his former club Motor Lublin. Supporters have welcomed the addition, viewing him as a promising talent who could grow into a key player for the team.
