Polish drink market shifts as Gen Z seeks novel flavors and breweries diversify

Research shows that two‑thirds of Polish consumers are drawn to classic beverage flavors presented in modern, limited‑edition formats. Among Generation Z and Alpha, 64% prefer intense flavor profiles and 58% look for new, unexpected combinations, while 56% actively seek limited‑edition drinks. The “drink rotation” trend leads younger drinkers to sample an average of six beverage categories each week, and nostalgia‑linked products are reported to improve mood.

At the same time, falling beer sales are prompting Polish craft breweries to broaden their portfolios beyond beer. According to the Independent Brewers of Europe report, 43% of European craft breweries already produce alternative drinks. In Poland, examples include Nepomucen’s hoppy‑water, Palatum’s craft lemonades, and Birbant’s cold‑brew coffee collaborations. This diversification aims to capture changing consumer preferences toward non‑alcoholic and novel beverages.
