Polish educational institutions celebrate major anniversaries

Two Polish educational institutions recently marked significant milestones. Zespół Szkół nr 4 celebrated its 120th anniversary, tracing its origins back to the Private Seven-Class Commercial School founded in 1906. The celebrations, held in a new sports hall, were attended by Suwałki President Czesław Renkiewicz, local council members, alumni, and current students. The school's history includes a period of evacuation during World War I and a reactivation in 1924.

Separately, the Kazimierz Kupczyk Primary School in Tychowo Starym celebrated 110 years of operation. Established in 1916, the school's history was marked by the tragic arrest and death of its then-director, Kazimierz Kupczyk, in a concentration camp during World War II. The community, including local officials and the patron's descendants, gathered to honor the school's legacy, which saw the construction of a new building in 1995 following long-term community efforts.
