In Sosnowiec, an eight‑year‑old girl and her father were attacked by a dog while they were feeding animals on a private property. The girl required hospitalisation at the Sosnowiec Centre for Pediatrics in Klimontów, while the father suffered minor injuries that did not require admission. Police arrived shortly after the 19:47 emergency call, secured the scene, collected evidence and began an investigation into whether safety rules had been observed. The dogs involved were identified as German Shepherds and were placed under veterinary observation. Authorities emphasized that even well‑known, previously non‑aggressive dogs can act unpredictably and urged owners to follow safety protocols.
