Poland launches multiple emergency and police training drills

A simulated chemical incident was staged at the water treatment plant in Wampierzów, using drones, a chlorine‑gas leak scenario and a small explosive charge to test emergency response and inform residents of temporary traffic disruptions.

Special Forces units carried out tactical‑fire exercises in Warsaw, involving helicopters, armored vehicles and coordinated operations with city authorities to improve urban combat readiness.

Police officers from the Bydgoszcz Prevention Unit and the Counter‑terrorism sub‑unit completed intensive land‑and‑water training at the State Fire Service Academy, practicing command posts, first‑aid stations, search operations and rescue drills on a lake.

A graduation ceremony in Katowice marked the completion of basic police training for a new cohort, with certificates awarded to those who passed the final exam.

Civil‑protection workshops opened in Zielona Góra, teaching participants how to prepare for the first 72 hours of a crisis, administer first aid and create family emergency plans.
