Polish energy firms introduce consumer offer tool, discuss renewable‑based heat production

E.ON Poland has launched a free online tool that allows customers to answer a short questionnaire in about two minutes and receive a personalised electricity tariff suggestion. The service, promoted by board member Bartosz Gott, is intended to help households match offers to their usage patterns without obligation.

PGE Energia Ciepła’s president Grzegorz Krystek said the company sees a chance to use surplus renewable electricity to produce heat, which could limit heat‑price increases. He called for regulatory changes to recognise electricity‑generated heat from renewable sources as “green heat”. PGE currently generates roughly 25% of its heat from gas and manages fuel procurement at group level to mitigate price risk.
