Port Polska advances rail freight and high‑speed rail coordination in Poland

Port Polska and PKP Cargo have signed a letter of intent to involve the rail freight operator from the design phase of new rail lines, terminals and logistics facilities under the Centralny Port Komunikacyjny (CPK) programme. The cooperation aims to increase network capacity, improve intermodal freight transport and strengthen supply‑chain resilience.

Port Polska and Energa‑Operator concluded an agreement on coordination of infrastructure for the High‑Speed Rail network. The pact sets out cost‑sharing rules for any collisions between the new rail lines and existing energy networks, and establishes a mechanism for early information exchange to avoid delays.

Energa Wytwarzanie and the Gmina of Potęgowo created Poland’s first energy cooperative, using two small hydro plants (total 170 kW) and existing municipal photovoltaic installations to supply local public facilities. The model targets around 80 % local self‑consumption and aims to boost community energy security.

Enea Operator, Energa‑Operator, PGE Dystrybucja and the Energy Exchange have agreed to launch a joint flexibility‑services platform. The platform will enable aggregated use of active consumers, storage assets and renewable generators to manage grid constraints across the country.

Polska Grupa Górnicza (PGG) announced a call for partners on photovoltaic farms with a combined capacity of over 36 MWp at sites in Chełm Śląski, Gierłatowice and Ruda Śląska, seeking experienced developers to join the projects.
