Polish entrepreneurs call for stable laws and cheaper energy

At the V Congress of ‘Dialog o gospodarce’ organized by the Federation of Polish Entrepreneurs (FPP), business leaders emphasized the need for predictable legal frameworks, lower energy costs, and increased support for domestic technologies and industry.

Marek Kowalski, chairman of the FPP, highlighted that entrepreneurs are the drivers of economic dynamism but face significant risks and personal investment. The congress aimed to facilitate debate between business leaders and political figures to address these needs.

Magdalena Sobkowiak-Czarnecka, Secretary of State, addressed the intersection of economy and security, noting the importance of domestic supply chains, infrastructure, and production capacities. She specifically mentioned the SAFE program and the opportunities defense-related financing provides for domestic industry.

Additional discussions during the ‘Poland Go’ series focused on innovation. Participants from organizations such as Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego and Strabag Polska identified public administration, bureaucracy, education, and demographics as primary barriers to innovation. Experts noted that while Poland possesses organizational innovation, it lacks the ‘soft power’ and marketing to establish a global brand for its technological capabilities.
