Polish family spends over 100 zł at lake beach during heatwave

A family from Toruń visited a lake beach about 20 km away during Poland’s record summer heat. Entry to the beach cost 10 zł per adult, totaling 40 zł for the four‑person family. The site had a sign stating “Swimming at your own risk” and no lifeguard was on duty. Food and drink purchases at two nearby kiosks added roughly 70 zł, including fries, desserts, and non‑alcoholic beer, bringing the total expense to around 110 zł for the day. The family also incurred fuel costs for the 40 km round trip.
