Polish farmers adopt cautious approach to machinery investments

Polish farmers are adopting a more cautious approach to purchasing agricultural machinery due to income volatility and economic uncertainty. While the need for technological advancement remains, current investment levels are below long-term averages, with only approximately 30-35% of farms actively investing in new equipment.

Large-scale farms remain more active in the market compared to smaller operations. The shift in demand shows a declining interest in traditional tools like plows in favor of high-capacity machinery, high-density balers, and precision farming technology designed to increase efficiency and offset labor shortages.

Experts note that the role of the farmer is evolving from manual labor toward business management, requiring greater focus on calculations and analysis. Despite rising costs for fuel and fertilizers, the drive toward 'Agriculture 4.0' continues as farmers seek equipment that offers a rapid return on investment and higher precision.
