Polish farmers can apply for diesel excise tax refund until Aug 31 2026

From 3 August to 31 August 2026, farmers in Poland may submit applications to recover the excise tax included in the price of diesel oil used for agricultural production. Applications must be accompanied by VAT invoices proving the purchase of diesel between 1 February and 31 July 2026 and a certificate showing the number of large animal‑unit conversions (DJP) issued by the Agency for Restructuring and Modernisation of Agriculture (ARiMR). The DJP certificate can now be generated online through the IRZplus system, removing the need for a visit to a county office.

Local authorities, such as the Gmina Osiek office, will accept the applications in municipal offices. Refund rates are set at 162.80 PLN per hectare of farmland, 5.92 PLN per average pig, and 59.20 PLN per large unit of cattle, goats, sheep or horses. Payments are scheduled for 1 – 31 October 2026.
