Polish farmers eligible for ARiMR subsidies after extreme weather damage

Recent adverse weather events such as storms, floods, hail and unusually high temperatures have caused significant crop losses for farmers in the Kujawy‑Pomorze region. The Regional Agricultural Advisory Centre advises that affected producers must promptly notify the Agency for Restructuring and Modernisation of Agriculture (ARiMR) and submit a statement of force majeure, accompanied by evidence such as witness testimonies, expert opinions and damage‑assessment reports. These documents must reach ARiMR before the agency issues its 2026 subsidy decisions to preserve the right to direct or area payments.

The municipal office in Solec Kujawski has issued a specific notice allowing producers of berries, vegetables and other listed crops to report damage caused by high temperatures. Applications, to be filed by 23 July 2026 at the Environmental and Agricultural Protection Department, will be inspected by the advisory centre, ARiMR and local agricultural chambers. Only one type of adverse weather event may be claimed per year, so farmers must choose between a high‑temperature claim and any other weather‑related assistance that may be activated.
