Polish farmers face deadlines for QMP certification and pig farming subsidies
Polish farmers face critical deadlines regarding subsidies and certifications. To receive welfare payments, farmers who have declared animal welfare practices must hold a valid Quality Meat Program (QMP) certificate by September 30, 2026. This requirement applies to both new participants and those renewing existing certifications.
Additionally, a funding call for pig farmers under the 2023–2027 Common Agricultural Policy Strategic Plan is nearing its end. Applications can be submitted via the ARiMR system until October 1, 2026. The program offers up to 100,000 PLN per beneficiary to enhance biosecurity and mitigate the risk of African Swine Fever (ASF).
Eligibility for the pig farming aid includes conventional farms with at least 50 pigs and organic farms with at least 27 pigs. No minimum animal count is required for breeders of native or pure breeds. The support can cover up to 80 percent of eligible costs for investments such as building security, disinfection solutions, and feed storage.
