Polish farmers face September 2026 deadline for QMP certification and straw‑mixing documentation

Farmers applying for payments under Poland’s animal‑welfare eco‑scheme must obtain a Quality Meat Program (QMP) certificate by 30 September 2026. Declaring the practice in a subsidy application is insufficient; an authorized certification body must audit the farm and issue the certificate before the deadline. Delays in scheduling audits could hinder compliance as the audit calendar fills up.

In addition, to claim points for the “mixing straw with soil” practice, farmers must keep a detailed register of agrotechnical operations. The record must include parcel number, area, crop type, date of work, and description of the straw‑mixing or ploughing activity. Only arable land not used for rapeseed under the “diverse crop structure” practice qualifies. Acceptable documentation can be electronic or paper, provided it contains all required information for verification during inspections.
