Polish film festivals announce October programs

Two major Polish film festivals have announced their upcoming programs for October 2026.

The 17th Kamera Akcja Festival will take place in Łódź from October 22 to 25. The event will feature approximately 80 films and nearly 90 guests. Highlights include the Polish premiere of Quentin Dupieux’s ‘Le Vertige’, Ryûsuke Hamaguchi’s Cannes-awarded ‘Unexpected’, and the opening film ‘Dziki Dziki Wschód’ by Jan Holoubek. Other notable screenings include Agnieszka Smoczyńska’s ‘Hot Spot’ and Filip Bojar’s debut ‘Czarna godzina’.

Meanwhile, the 12th Spektrum Film Festival will be held in Świdnica from October 20 to 25 under the theme ‘Staging the truth’. The festival will showcase over 60 titles, including short films and feature-length works from major international festivals. The event opens with Grzegorz Dębowski’s Venice-awarded ‘Cudze rzeczy’ and concludes with the documentary ‘Kumotry’ directed by Emilia Śniegoska.
