Polish towns host summer family festivals and cultural events

Across Poland, municipalities are staging a series of free, family‑focused summer events. In Elbląg, the Sjesta festival turns Park Modrzewie into a playground of games, sports and crafts on 19 July. Strawczyn’s Promnik celebration offers concerts, competitions and a prize‑winning bicycle, while Żukowo organizes a weekend of sports tournaments, a retro picnic and a fan zone for football matches from 17‑19 July. Kraków prepares a multicultural folk stage in front of the Galeria Krakowska, featuring groups from Paraguay, Serbia, Panama, Hungary, Chile and Taiwan on 16 July. Konin’s sixth “Open a Window to Culture” theatre festival runs 9‑13 July with over 80 artists from six countries performing in eight city locations. Żabienko hosts a family fest on 11 July that combines music, games and addiction‑prevention activities. Lubin’s cultural centre offers a month‑long “OKGL holidays” programme of educational trips and workshops for children. Racibórz’s SOWA centre runs free, science‑themed workshops under the “Ale kosmos!” banner. Additional free cinema evenings are scheduled in towns such as Żubrynie, Zorza (Rzeszów) and Helios (various locations), showing new releases like Christopher Nolan’s Odyseja and family animations. All events are open to the public at no cost and aim to promote active recreation, cultural exchange and community cohesion during the July‑August holiday period.
