Polish financial and industrial sectors report mixed performance

Analysts forecast that the nine largest banks listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange may report a combined net profit of approximately 9.7 billion PLN for the third quarter. While this represents a 3.3 percent increase compared to the previous quarter, it marks a potential decline of up to 8.8 percent year-on-year. This projected decrease is attributed to several factors, including the impact of interest rate cuts by the NBP, which have pressured net interest margins, and changes in legal risk reserves related to Swiss franc loans.

In the industrial sector, Grupa Kęty reported significant growth in its financial results. For the first three quarters of the year, the company achieved revenues of 4.66 billion PLN, an increase of 420 million PLN compared to the same period last year. The group's net profit rose by 27.19 percent year-on-year to 594 million PLN, while EBITDA reached 967 million PLN.
