Polish fire brigades and university students train in radio communication and CBRN response

Volunteer fire units in Elbląg organised a specialist training on UKF radio communication for members of the National Rescue System. The programme combined theory on radio correspondence with practical exercises that tested joint operations among rescue services, aiming to improve information exchange and coordination during emergencies.

Separately, a realistic CBRN drill was held in the Łódź region, where biology students and State Fire Service units simulated a terrorist release of a biological agent. The exercise covered building evacuation, initial decontamination, and full decontamination by specialised fire units, illustrating the procedures and inter‑agency cooperation required for CBRN incidents.
