Polish Fire Service Announces Ciechanow Recruitment and New Polkowice Commander

The County Command of the State Fire Service in Ciechanow opened a recruitment drive for two trainee positions in its preparatory service, targeting future senior rescuers‑drivers. Candidates must be Polish citizens, hold at least secondary education, possess a category C driver’s licence, and meet physical, psychological and legal criteria. Applications are accepted until 20 July, with the first intake scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026 and service performed on a 24/48‑hour rotating shift.

In the neighbouring county of Polkowice, longtime fire brigade commander Piotr Woźniakiewicz retired after nearly three decades of service that began in 1998. He was succeeded by Piotr Dąbrowa, previously serving at the Złotoryi command, who will now lead the Polkowice unit and oversee its public‑safety responsibilities.
