Polish firefighters conduct MARINA 2026 flood rescue exercises
Polish emergency services conducted the MARINA 2026 rescue exercises in Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki on September 22, 2026. The drill simulated a major flood scenario caused by heavy rainfall at the confluence of the Narew and Vistula rivers.
Participants, including the Special Company ‘WODA’ and the ‘BAZA’ Logistics Platoon, practiced pumping large volumes of water over long distances using high-performance pumps and water mains. The exercises focused on tactical command, communication systems, and operational readiness for managing flooded residential areas.
