Polish Firefighting Sport Championships Take Place in Częstochowa
The 42nd Polish Championships in Firefighting Sport were staged at the Central School of State Fire Service in Częstochowa. Over three days, 15 men's teams and one women's team competed, with a total of 133 athletes representing regions across the country.
The competition featured four disciplines: ladder climbing to the third floor, a 100‑metre firefighting obstacle course, a 4 × 100 m relay with obstacles, and a combat exercise. The Świętokrzyskie region secured the overall title, edging out teams from Mazovia and Łódź. Individual standout Grzegorz Arczyński of Lesser Poland posted the fastest 100‑metre time and also dominated the dual‑event discipline.
A new national record was set in the combat exercise, as the Subcarpathian team recorded a time of 23.31 seconds. The championships also marked the first participation of a women's team, composed of cadets and officers from the Central School in Częstochowa.
