Polish firms deploy AI digital agents, altering hiring and teamwork

Polish organisations are moving from using AI as a support tool to adopting “digital agents” that can set goals, plan actions, execute multiple steps and hand off tasks with limited human involvement. The shift raises questions of control, accountability and the re‑definition of HR roles, with workers moving from task‑by‑task execution to overseeing quality and making context‑driven decisions.

Analysts stress that soft‑skill competencies—communication courage, cognitive empathy, critical thinking and relational learning—become the core infrastructure for leveraging AI responsibly. In recruitment, 74 % of candidates and 62 % of hiring managers now use AI for applications, job descriptions and interview preparation, while the rise of AI‑generated CVs creates verification challenges.

A separate trend highlighted by Gartner predicts that by 2029, 60 % of firms will adopt small software‑development teams of 2‑5 engineers, as AI handles routine coding tasks and frees engineers to focus on complex problem‑solving and innovation. The overall picture shows AI reshaping work processes, talent needs and team structures across Polish companies.
