Polish firms lose top talent as slow hiring decisions drive candidates to competitors
A survey by eRecruiter and Pracuj.pl shows that 52 % of recruiters identify delayed hiring decisions by business leaders as the main barrier to securing candidates, causing many of the best job‑seekers to accept offers from faster‑acting competitors. The study also highlights that 16 % of recruitment specialists point to internal “silo” problems, where HR and managers operate in separate tracks, diluting responsibility for hiring delays. Additionally, 65 % of HR professionals say that business units increasingly leave recruiters to act independently, further harming employer branding and candidate experience.
These findings suggest that sluggish decision‑making and poor coordination between hiring managers and HR teams can lead to lost talent, higher vacancy durations, and weakened company reputation among prospective employees.
