Polish firms target industrial ventilation and office cooling inefficiencies as heatwaves rise
Industrial plants in Poland often suffer from poorly designed ventilation systems that increase energy use and create uncomfortable work zones. Experts from Kingspan Light + Air Poland identified five common mistakes, such as undersized installations, improper airflow distribution, lack of free cooling and under‑utilised natural ventilation, and offered practical steps for correct heat‑balance calculations and zone‑focused airflow.
At the same time, record summer temperatures are affecting office environments. New draft workplace‑health regulations propose a maximum indoor temperature of 28 °C, with mandatory cooling measures above that level and work stoppage beyond 35 °C. Industry voices stress that reducing heat gain through better building design, shading, insulation and automated ventilation can lower HVAC demand, cut energy costs and improve employee productivity. Both sectors see energy efficiency and worker comfort as linked to competitiveness and compliance.
