Polish firms target Vietnamese shrimp for new burger line

On 6 August, the Polish Embassy in Vietnam, the Polish Investment and Trade Agency and the Polish Chamber of Commerce organised a "Taste Europe – Exploring European Flavors" business networking event in Ho Chi Minh City. Tomasz Parzybut, chief executive of the Polish Association of Butchers and Producers (SRW RP), announced that a Polish company has visited a Vietnamese shrimp‑processing plant and plans to import the shrimp to develop shrimp burgers for the Polish market. The delegation also discussed importing Vietnamese pepper, coffee and other agricultural products, noting that Vietnam is Poland’s third‑largest pork export market and that Polish pork exports rose 34 % in 2025. Andrzej Arendarski, president of the Polish Chamber of Commerce, highlighted further growth potential for Polish‑Vietnam trade, especially in food and agricultural goods. Both sides described the partnership as complementary, with Poland serving as a food‑processing hub for Europe and Vietnam offering a dynamic consumer market and gateway to ASEAN.
