Polish food safety authority flags defects in Dubai chocolate and Biedronka biscuits

The Main Inspectorate of Commercial Quality of Agricultural and Food Products inspected popular Dubai‑style pistachio chocolate sold in Poland and found serious composition and labeling errors. More than half of the examined firms received penalties for breaching food‑safety regulations.

In a separate action, the Polish State Sanitary Inspection identified elevated acrylamide levels in a batch of Bonitki Petit Beurre biscuits supplied to the Biedronka supermarket chain. The retailer, in cooperation with the Ukrainian supplier YARYCH, initiated a voluntary recall of the affected 400 g packs (batch 6104037121) to protect consumers.

Both incidents highlight heightened regulatory scrutiny of imported snack products and the emphasis on consumer health protection in the Polish market.
