Polish Football Association faces 100 million PLN budget deficit

The Polish Football Association (PZPN) is facing a potential 100 million PLN shortfall in its budget, threatening the construction of a planned national training center. The deficit follows the expected conclusion of a major financial partnership with Orlen, which previously provided significant support.

While discussions regarding a new agreement are reportedly ongoing, there are concerns that any future cooperation will not match previous funding levels. PZPN officials are currently considering two locations for the training facility: Otwock and Karczew. The Karczew site has been deemed potentially unsuitable for the planned scope of work due to marshy and difficult terrain, leaving Otwock as the primary candidate.

President Cezary Kulesza has expressed interest in completing this large-scale investment before the end of his term.
