Polish football prepares for high-intensity regional derbies

Polish football faces upcoming high-stakes derby matches. In the Tri-City derby, Arka Gdynia is set to face Lechia Gdańsk in an attempt to break a long-standing losing streak in away matches against their rivals. Lechia Gdańsk has shown strong recent form, winning five of their last six matches and climbing to fourth place in the standings, though their defense remains a point of concern. Conversely, Arka Gdynia currently sits in the relegation zone and is looking for a momentum shift through this local rivalry.

In a separate matchup, Górnik striker Sondre Liseth discussed the upcoming derby against Piast Gliwice. The Norwegian forward emphasized the emotional intensity required for such matches, noting that they demand extra effort beyond technical skill. Liseth also commented on adapting to the Polish climate, stating that his upbringing in Norway has prepared him for the colder autumn temperatures.
