Polish football supporters face restrictions and police intervention

Tensions are rising within the Polish football community following several incidents involving supporter groups. During a fourth-league match in Wapienica between Podbeskidzie reserves and Ruch Radzionków, a large group of fans used prohibited pyrotechnics. The situation escalated when a group of supporters attempted to charge a vehicle used to photograph them; police intervention involving helmets, shields, and gas launchers was required to prevent a direct confrontation.

In a separate development involving the Ekstraklasa, approximately 1,500 Wisła Kraków supporters traveled to Warsaw for a match against Legia Warszawa. Due to Legia's decision to close the away sector, the fans planned to watch the game on a large screen located near the Polonia Warszawa stadium. This move by Legia officials follows investigations by the PZPN Club Licensing Commission regarding the potential exclusion of visiting supporters from the Łazienkowska street stadium.
