Polish forest berry prices hit record highs in 2026

Wild forest berries are selling at unusually high prices across Poland in 2026. On the Łódź Wholesale Market the price per kilogram ranges from 40 zł to 50 zł, while the Kalisk Market lists about 45 zł per kilogram. In Poznań a three‑kilogram box costs 120‑140 zł (roughly 40‑47 zł/kg). Retail prices are even higher: Wrocław’s Hall sells a kilogram for 59 zł, and the Mirowska Hall in Warsaw reaches similar levels. Regional variations persist – a litre of berries costs 20‑30 zł in places such as Zambrow, Ząbki, Gdańsk, Mazovia, Silesia, Lubusz and Podlasie. Sellers warn that the season is drawing to a close, urging buyers to act before fresh berries disappear. The surge is driven by strong demand despite a modest harvest caused by a cool spring, keeping market prices at record levels.
