Polish government allocates over 25 million zł to regional school meals and childcare programs

The Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy provided more than 1.1 million zł to 16 primary schools in the Podlaskie region to renovate school cafeterias, equip kitchens and improve dining facilities under the "Posiłek w szkole i w domu" programme (2024‑2028). The funding, amounting to 1 136 651 zł, will support modern kitchen equipment and furniture, benefiting thousands of pupils.

In the Lower Silesian region, nearly 24 million zł was granted under the "Aktywny Maluch" initiative to create 548 new childcare places for children up to three years old, alongside more than 4.3 million zł for sensory rooms in nurseries and day‑care centres. The funds will be used for sensory mats, therapeutic swings, balls and specialised equipment, enhancing early‑childhood development and supporting working parents.
