Polish Grave Monuments Stolen and Collapsing Amid Local Outcry

In the village of Wiersze in the Czosnów municipality, a family discovered that the large stone monument on a grave had been removed, leaving only nameplates behind. The incident was reported to the local police, and the family appealed for information on the missing structure.

Separately, in the village of Czernica near Jelenia Góra, a resident found her grandparents' grave tilted and partially collapsed due to very close burial spacing. Local officials were summoned, and the village mayor promised to address the damage, though the family expressed concern that the grave may need exhumation and relocation.

Both cases have prompted police investigations and municipal responses as residents seek solutions and community assistance.
