Polish Grupa WB Supplies Warmate 5 Loitering Munitions to Ukrainian Forces

Polish defence company Grupa WB has delivered its Warmate 5 loitering‑munition system to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, a fact confirmed by the firm’s communications director Remigiusz Wilk on the social platform X. The system, weighing up to 35 kg at launch, can operate at ranges of about 100 km, speeds up to 250 km/h and is compatible with a variety of warheads, including fragmentary‑burst, thermobaric and anti‑armour types.

Warmate 5 joins earlier Polish systems already in use on the front, such as the Warmate 3 loitering munition and the FlyEye reconnaissance drone. The exact scale of the delivery and the source of financing have not been disclosed; possibilities include a Ukrainian procurement, direct Polish funding, or support from the broader drone‑coalition that backs Ukraine.
