Polish health facilities equip new ultrasound and eye‑care technology

The Żukowo municipal health centre (SPZOZ) has received a Samsung V6 ultrasound system capable of 3D/4D imaging, convex volumetric scanning and elastography. The device, presented to local officials including mayor Mariola Zmudzińska and health director Grażyna Jaworska, is expected to improve obstetric, gynecological and abdominal diagnostics without referring patients to larger hospitals.

In Zgorzelec, the public hospital’s ophthalmology department has acquired five specialised devices—including the IOL Master 700, Artevo 850 and an OCT Cirrus 6000—under a 3.75 million‑złoty project financed by the National Reconstruction Plan (KPO). The new equipment will expand early detection of ocular cancers and enhance treatment of cataract, glaucoma, retinal disease and other conditions, allowing patients to receive advanced eye care locally.
