Polish health sector emphasizes musculoskeletal injury rehabilitation
Experienced trekkers in Poland often suffer knee, ankle and lower‑back injuries due to cumulative strain, and physiotherapists warn that returning to activity without a functional assessment can lead to re‑injury. They recommend a gradual rehabilitation plan that starts with strength and stability tests, followed by shorter, less demanding routes before resuming full‑scale trekking.
Starting on 3 August, Zeromski Hospital in Kraków will begin qualifying patients for a municipal‑funded Program of Prevention and Rehabilitation of Musculoskeletal Disorders. Sessions run Monday‑Thursday, 7:30 am‑2:00 pm, with strict scheduling and attendance rules. Participants must bring appropriate sports footwear, loose clothing, water and a snack, and follow a set registration process. The program is fully financed by the Kraków City Municipality and aims to support local residents in recovering from movement‑related ailments.
